Welcome back. In this video, you'll learn how to use the CRM to automate birthday and transaction anniversary follow-ups. So let's jump right in. To get started, you need to make sure that your leads have either their birthday or their anniversary information recorded in their file. So when you're adding new leads, especially past customers, make sure that you include their transaction date and their birthday if you have it. By doing this, it becomes much easier for you to stay connected with them.

Let's start by updating your existing leads. So from the Performance dashboard, click the Lead List tab in the left-hand column. Now in the search bar at the top of the screen, search for the lead you want to update. Let's say Cameron Mitchell. If Cameron's birthday and transaction date were already saved, you'd see them listed right under his customer information. They're not, so let's add them. To add these, click the Edit button.

Now scroll down to his birthday and transaction anniversary fields and enter the dates. Now hit save. Now you'll see that both of these are recorded and his account is looking good. Next, we need to make sure that the CRM is set up to track and use this information. So click on the communications tab at the top of the screen and then click on marketing automation in the left hand column and then click on automated greetings.

In the Birthday Greetings section, you'll notice that the Automatically Send Birthday Emails option isn't selected. So let's activate that and save. Now we need to create a greeting. And we're going to start by dragging an image block into the template. And then once that's in there, you can select the image you want to use.

With the image set, close that section, and then we're going to drag a text block in. All right, now we're going to type in a message. And I'm going to start very simple. Happy birthday, lead name.

I'm going to use the smart text feature to make things easy. So we're going to expand that message using AI. And it reads, happy birthday, lead name. Wishing you a day filled with joy, laughter, and all the things you love. May this year bring exciting new adventures and endless opportunities. Enjoy your special day to the fullest. And don't forget to personalize your closing. Add another smart text placeholder like your name.

and now hit save and the birthday greeting is ready to go. Now let's move on to the transaction anniversary. First, select the send automated anniversary email and click save. Now that that's set up, let's create the message. We're gonna start with an image and you can either upload an image from your computer or you can choose from one of the thousands of images that's available to you here in the CRM.

Then we're going to close the image block, and we're going to drag in a text block. And we're going to use a simple message to start. Happy house anniversary. Can you believe another year has passed since you moved into your new home? We're going to expand this message again using the Smart Text AI. And you may have noticed that I have a spelling error. And let's see how the AI handles it. All right, here we go.

1. Add Birthdays and Transaction Dates to Lead Profiles
