What is the DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a US Federal Law that can protect website owners from copyright infringement claims related to content on their websites. To qualify for DMCA protection, website owners must register with the US Copyright Office and post a DMCA notice on their website

Why can't Agent Elite register for me?

We can't register on your behalf. Our DMCA protection only covers the IDX content on your site, not anything outside of the IDX tools.

Should I list Agent Elite as my service provider or designated agent when I create an account at copyright.gov?

No. You must list your info or another designated contact who can handle DMCA claims specific to your website. If you list Agent Elite as your service provider or designated agent, you risk getting inquiries, and liability, for any copyright issue on any of the thousands of IDX sites we power.

Where Do I Send My Completed DMCA Paperwork?

Once you have completed your DMCA, the next step is to send the completed form to idx@agentelite.com with the subject line, “Please Attach DMCA Notice.” Please note that you can contact our support team for assistance if you have further questions regarding your DMCA notice. You can also contact your board directly for questions regarding your DMCA outside of the information outlined above.
